Pastor Scott Shumaker
Pastor Shumaker was saved at the age of 6 in his Christian school. He became active in church during his teenage years at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN. God called him to preach at the age of 14 while at Summer Camp. He is a 2008 graduate of Heartland Baptist Bible College. Pastor Shumaker returned home after Bible college and served faithfully in his church. The Lord brought he and his wife Yvonne together at this time. They were married August 16th, 2014.
A year after they were married, God allowed them to serve a pastoral internship at Lighthouse. They completed the internship in December 2018, after 3 years. God then placed upon Scott's heart the desire to Pastor. On September 29th, 2019, Scott Shumaker was installed as the 9th Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Rensselaer, IN.
